With it's wonderfully tranquil setting and abundance of surrounding wildlife, Matt's historic cemetery gatehouse is simply perfect. Smitten by the faded charm of this Victorian gatehouse on the Isle of Wight, hair salon owner Matt was keen to make it his own. Matt credits both his love of interiors and his magpie tendencies to his mother, who ran an antique business when he was growing up. 'Everything in our family home had a price tag, so pieces moved around constantly, ' he reflects. Growing up in a place with an ever-changing style means that Matt rarely spends much money on furniture, instead preferring to choose things with an eye to upcycling.
