When Clare and Vince inherited a wreck, they threw themselves into its restoration, recreating its Victorian style while adding some environmentally friendly energy solutions. Owners Clare, a former probationary officer and her husband Vince, who used to be the local GP, are both retired, although they sell fresh eggs from their chickens, and meat from their cattle, sheep and Duroc pigs; pets include geese and cats. They have two grown-up children.
