Celebrating its heritage Elizabeth Allen took on an Arts and Crafts commuter’s semi and turned it into a welcoming family home. When her eldest son Theo moved to a new school in Kent, Elizabeth Allen was under pressure to find a house nearby. ‘We had a thatched cottage in the Cotswolds which was sold and then l lighted on Sevenoaks which is only thirty five minutes from central London where my other children, Hope now 19 and Thomas 9 were at school. Finding the right house was like finding a needle in a haystack because Sevenoaks is a favourite amongst London commuters.’
