Seeking a Simpler Life

Despite its bold terracotta painted facade, you'd be forgive if you missed this old stone cottage while winding your way through the hills and valleys of western Wales. The five bedroom house, which was originally a single-storey two room dwelling built in the 1850's, sits high above the road and is partially hidden by trees and lush greenery. When you're inside the house you feel a million miles from everything and everyone; low ceilings and 18-inch thick walls create a solid and comforting cocoon separating you from modern life and its frivolous distractions.
