By raising the roof of this neglected 1960s property and reconfiguring the layout, Clare Willison and Murray Johnstone have created a striking coastal home with boho touches, just metres away from one of the UK’s top surfing beaches. The keen surfers, who are experienced self-builders, have created a contemporary, light-drenched home with an open-plan layout, large windows and glass balconies to maximise the spectacular, ever-changing sea views.
